Hi Everyone,

Well, it's been a while since I've written. I've been quite busy getting ready for my big New York City home party this past week, which was a success. Mary Helen, you're the best. You did a great job selling as always, and of course, Beth, the host, was fabulous. She can put on a party. I want to say thank you to the both of you. You both have been great supporters of my business. I also want to thank all my customers that are still buying my designs and are still loving them. Ladies, you wear it well.

I've been to New York and picked up lots of new beads, shells, stones and lots and lots of pearls getting ready for the upcoming summer season. I'm leaning towards some semi-precious and precious stones this summer, something new for me. I think we're all ready for summer and why not a nice new piece of jewlery to brighten up an outfit?

I've been very busy designing new pieces for my rep, Cathy, to start venturing out towards the Cape, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Without Cathy I just couldn't achieve what "WE'VE" achieved and be where I am today. I say, we're a team. I want to thank her for all her hard work and ambition. You're the best, Cathy. Love traveling with her, too. Must admit we do have fun. Our trip to Florida was adventurous . We never know what we're going to come across and where our adventure will take us, but we have fun nonetheless.

I've made 30 new pieces which will be up on my Web site within the next week. I've been making new pieces but before I can post them on my Web site they've sold ,so hopefully you'll get to see something new soon.

I'll be in my studio the next couple of weeks finishing up another 30 new pieces and then it's off to New York again for more. I have a couple of new designs I'm thinking about (a little bit more dantier than my originals) but change is fun and taking two or three necklaces and layering is exciting and so fashionable.

Hi,

This is going to be a very busy week for me since I just created a new smaller/lightweight necklace. Lots of new designs are being created. Smaller beads, believe it or not, since I'm known as a chunky jewelry designer, but they're starting to look pretty nice after putting them all together. They are a four strand necklace with lots of glass beads and freshwater pearls intertwined and still very lightweight. Lots of summer colors from pinks, oranges, blacks, browns, blues, yellows, greens. They will be posted on my Web site: www.JoanneKatherineDesigns.com within the next couple of weeks. I will still do lots of chunky/funky pieces to choose from, too, for the customers that love the big and bold pieces, which are still very, very in. Lots of big/chunky necklaces on the runway this spring. Lots of orange and navy are the two biggest colors out there.

Also, I've introduced chains, from chunky to delicate, short, long, double them up with a couple of long strand of freshwater pearls and you've got a great look. So lots of interesting things happening in my studio for spring/summer.

Hoping to update our Web site (have a few interesting ideas) so hopefully within a month or two that will have changed somewhat.

With the economy the way it is some of the new pieces I'm designing will be at a price point that I hope will be beneficial to you all, but will still be very unique and there will still be one-of-a-kind pieces for you to choose from.

Well, for now I better get stringing and finishing these new designs that I hope everyone will enjoy.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Joanne Katherine and I'm a jewelry designer. I'd like to share with you my new blog page I've just set up. I'm new at this so please be patient.

In 2005 I began designing jewelry for myself, and because people have said I have an eye for style and color I started getting requests to custom design pieces for friends and family and then eventually was asked to display and sell my jewelry in several boutiques across the country.
